The new Oxford handbook (The Bible and the Reformation), compiled with the collaboration of our senior researcher, Pál Ács, has won the prestigious John Tedeschi Prize from the Sixteenth Century Society. The award recognizes the best reference book.  


John Tedeschi (1931-2023) was an American librarian and historian. As a librarian, he made a lasting contribution as a manuscript curator and bibliographer at the Newberry Library in Chicago, and as a historian, he was interested in 16th-century Italian heretical movements and the Inquisition.
