Absztrakt:
Experimental philosophy of medicine (xPhiMed) brings together philosophy, psychology, and the health sciences to study how people understand central medical concepts. This talk briefly introduces the field and its methods, focusing on work on health and disease and its relevance for philosophy, clinical practice, and public health communication. It then turns to evidence that health concepts are morally inflected. These patterns have broader implications for how we think about medical classification, responsibility, and the role of values in health.
